But REALLY???? Why are the sports shows so enthralled with Timmy Tebow? Is it because he is a Christan? I'm pretty sure there a MANY Christiian males in the NFL. Is it because he played at Florida? I'm pretty sure Florida football doesn't rule the nation. I just do NOT understand why major air time is being allocated to Tebow on ESPN and other sports media. HE DOES NOT PLAY THE QB POSITION ANY BETTER THAN......Kyle Boller. I guess I should be adminished since I am even giving this my energy, but it drives me crazy that CAM NEWTON had a GREAT GAME (better numbers than Aaron Rodgers) and allene sports world can talk about is Timmy tebow's 5 minutes of luck against a team that hasn't won a game! PS- I am not even a Panthers fan, so don't say I am biased.

JUST SO YOU KNOW....

I can NOT even deal with the NCAA ANYMORE! SO, now they are on Coples for going with his friends to DC??? I am LOSING it! I had a facebook post that read "I am glad I was never on athletic scholarship. The NCAA would have had a huge file on me! I was always trying to my drinks for free and NOT pay a cover to get in the club!" TRUE! You want to know why........BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT COLLEGE KIDS DO BECAUSE WE ARE POOR!!! I LOVE hoe the NCAA thinks that just bc you are on scholarship that you should automatically have enough money for the rest of your life! Now, my friends that went on scholarship and their parents were able to save money for them, are Ok...but the rest of everybody else....SPORTS WAS THEIR WAY TO COLLEGE! I'm just sayin', my parents paid for my college AND gave me an allowance. I STILL had to get a job bc I STILL needed MONEY! Crazy huh!??! How does anyone get through college???? Oh wait, an athlete can WORK! (I did have a job at Gold's Gym in Charlotte for the free membership and the $6/hr child care worker wage) QUESTION, HOW are you supposed to work as an athlete and a)NOT work for any alumni around the campus b)find the TIME, bc you are supposed to go to class and play your sport and in your off season...well, don't even SHOW up to the first day of practice out of shape! That pisses your coach off...and the ALUMNI....who, well, you know! I do feel bad though, that I can't even buy John Henson a soda at Sutton's ..... STUPID!

As a UNC fan I have to just take this one moment to say "GO HEELS!" I am pretty sure that being tied for #1 in the ACC (even if the ACC is in a down year) makes Tar Heel Nation breathe a little sigh of relief! This is the Carolina basketball we know and love! By the way, if you haven't seen the "This is Carolina Basketball" video yet....go to a game at the Dean Dome. That video gives me chills! I wish they had it online. We just found out that Reggie Bullock is out for the rest of the season and will have to have knee surgery. Wishing him a speedy recovery. We are going to miss him and now some boys are going to have to step it up, but I am keeping the faith. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK DEAN SMITH! GO HEELS!

OK, I kind of feel bad for WFU. I can't believe I said that, and I am glad that the Tar Heels beat the Deacs. That being said, having had to endure the season that UNC had last year, I hate for any team to have to go through that (with the exception of DOOK.) I mean it is not like those boys aren't good players.....not so sure about their coach, but whatever. NCSU fans, I read that Tubby Smith wants to come coach the Wolfpack???? WHAT??? Now, he is a good coach and you would be in the fight with recruiting more often than not!

I am already tired of hearing about Melo and I even like Melo! Charles Barkley was right though, you have to BEG him to play some DEFENSE! Ok, we get it already, Melo is back in New York! He is happy to be there. Apparently, he didn't like George Karl??? Who knew? Karl, probably didn't put up with AC's -ish and wanted him to...wait for it, wait for it....PLAY DEFENSE!!!!

I can't BELIEVE that the Boston Celtics traded away Nate Robinson and Kendric Perkins!?!?!? First, I am VERY upset that Shrek and Donkey are broken up and second, Perkins is a beast!!!! Oh well, I guess the Celtics know what they are doing?

I also read an article online about Ray Felton being traded to the LAKERS!!! I don't like the Lakers, but that would be GREAT for Felton. It was only one article and it was buried after the trade deadline, but maybe that will happen this summer. I don't know how long the Nuggets can convince Ty Lawson and Raymond Felton that having a MIND-BLOWING "Carolina Point Guard Club" is the way to go. Maybe it will work.

NFL...I am sorry, I do NOT for the life of me understand why the NFL owners are being pretentious douches! THE ONLY thing that the owners are bringing to the table that is ANY good is that rookie salary cap, because it is JUST A LITTLE RIDICULOUS that Sam Bradford's rookie contract is worth more that Peyton's contract starting the season. COME ON PEOPLE...REALLY??? Anyway, that is it the rookie cap, the more games and wanting the players to give back $1 billion is beyond crazy. A) No one needs more fball games. I know we all like to watch fball on Sunday, but this brain stuff is for real and adding 3 more games is unnecessary to say the least. Don't even get me started on the asking for the $1 BILLION back. It borderlines the old sharecropping theory. "Hey player that may be able to play for only 7 years (Favre exception), could you abuse your body, shake your brain around, not worry about your future health, OH and PAY ME to LET YOU PLAY for MY TEAM?" ummmmmmm.....SHADY!!!!

Now, hopefully the owners/players can get this all worked out because I am anxious to see this rookie class take the field.

WOW! DO the NY Knicks think they are getting Michael Jordan from the early 90's??? Trading all of those players and future 1st round picks for Carmello Anthony is CRAZY to say the least. Amare NEEDS a GREAT point guard to feed him the ball! Billups is good, but is on the decline. Felton was his man! Felton is no Steve Nash, but he was at least on his way up the PG ladder! I personally think Denver, as of this moment, will be better in the end. The Nuggets will be a solid team! PLUS, they have 2 GREAT point guards now(SHOUT out to Tar Heel Nation)! Here is a good question for you.....WHO is going to play DEFENSE at the Knicks? Who will get a rebound? The Knicks will have offense, but....

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!

Wow! I can't believe this day is finally here! First, at 2p I have to watch the UNC/FSU game sans LD2...btw, thanks Larry for showing us what being a "teammate" means to you. I have come to the conclusion that Larry may have a mental problem or something, not because he quit, but because of the WAY he quit...just plain weird! Anyway, I digress. GO HEELS!!!

At 230p The Celtics play the Magic! That should be a great game, especially since the Celtics lost Friday night to the Mavericks! The Celtics let Dallas shoot 60%...which is CRAZY to me! Go CELTICS!!!

THEN FINALLY at 630p all of America will be watching the Super Bowl XLV! It should be a good game! My daddy has the original "Terrible Towel" hanging in his garage, and I mean OLD SCHOOL, not these new ones that look bright yellow! Therefore, I have 2 words regarding the Super Bowl.... GO STEELERS!!!

Although I personally do not understand why Carmelo Anthony wouldn't want to play for George Karl AND eventually have Ty Lawson(shout out to Tar Heel Nation) pass him the ball for the next 5 years, I DO understand Carmelo wanting to be closer to his family. I mean the kid is FAR away from home and while I am sure Denver is a great city... it isn't NEW YORK CITY! Having lived there, I can honestly say that NOTHING is like NYC! All this being said(or typed),LeBron is a douche for leaving Cleveland and "JESTER JAMES" will NEVER EVER EVER be MICHAEL JORDAN....THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!

First, let me say "GO HEELS and ROLL TIDE!" This is Bama's chance to somewhat redeem their season! The Heels redeemed their season by beating Tennessee. I find this particularly gratifying since Tennessee was supposed to play at UNC next season. Then all of the sudden the Vols decided that they didn't want to play the Heels in Chapel Hill, so they paid UNC $600,000 to NOT play!?!?! OK, so the Heels had to go to TN for the bowl game and play you anyway...... OH, and THE HEELS WIN! Me likey that karma!!!!

Also, I will be cheering hard for UCONN! What a story about the UCONN player Jasper Howard, who was murdered last year at the Student Union. This team plays for that kid. Howard told his teammates "Play each play like it is the last play you are ever going to play." This should be the motto of every football player! What a great spirit and loss for the UCONN family. SO today I say GO UCONN! (I will now give a personal apology to J-Ho. I am sure, as a BOOMER SOONER, he is not feeling my UCONN cheer!)

Well, I had to work last night, so I am READY for a day of college football and hanging out with friends!

By the way, what is up with the Big 10 refs???? They are CRAZY! I mean they call it "PLAYING A GAME" for a reason! Can the boys just have a little fun! It is not like the players are acting like the boys at The U in the 80's....and I thought they were pretty entertaining as well!
